SEPTA is taking action to combat the uptick in violence on public transportation happening over recent years. 

A SEPTA train carrying over 300 people went up in flames on Thursday night in Delaware County. The cause of fire is still under investigation.

SEPTA is celebrating their largest decline in violence since they've implemented transit police onto the transit system over four decades ago

Philadelphians who utilize SEPTA to get around the city will be having to check the bus schedule again after next month.

No arrests have been made. However, a weapon has been recovered. Police have not released information on any suspects.

SEPTA is officially discontinuing the sale of tokens as of Monday April 30th. SEPTA has been gradually phasing out tokens since January to transition to the SEPTA Key. SEPTA will continue to accept purchased tokens so customers will not lose out on money they have already spent.
