Stephen Fulton has successfully raised his stock, along with some eyebrows after his win Saturday night over Brandon Figueroa.
The Philly-born boxer showed up to the ring wearing what appeared to be boxing jean shorts and timberland-inspired boxing boots, accompanied by one of Philadelphia’s most popular rappers, Skrilla.

Figueroa vs. Fulton in 2021 was the intial meeting between the two. Fulton won the 2021 meeting, with an impressive enough performance to be nominated for Fight of the Year.
A rematch was scheduled to take place Saturday February 1st, as an undercard to the David Benavidez vs. David Morrell Jr main event.
At the conclusion of 12 rounds of action, Fulton was announced as the victory, taking scores of 116-112, 116-112 and 117-111 from the official ringside judges.
Fulton outperformed Figueroa to take a unanimous decision win, capturing the WBC featherweight championship and marking his first world championship reign in the second division of his career.

“It feels good,” said Fulton. “I’m a champion again and for everyone who doubted me, just keep supporting me how you’ve been supporting me, whether it’s negative or positive.”
“He won fair and square,” said Figueroa. “I’d love to fight him again, but right now I just have to go back to the drawing board and get the next one.”
