The Eagles have resigned LB Zack Baun to a 3-year, $51M deal. This agreement will keep Baun in Philadelphia through the 2027 season.

Linebackers Coach Bobby King had high praises for Baun as they prepared for the Super Bowl. King spoke to Baun’s professionalism, improvements, and consistently seizing the opportunity when his number was called.

“I don’t think you can put it on any one thing that he’s improved on,” Linebackers Coach Bobby King said during Super Bowl week. “He just had a chance, had an opportunity to show himself, and he’s done that. He’s played physical. He’s like a Swiss Army knife with about 12 different tools and blades on it. He’s got a chance to show those. Yes, he has improved those, but he’s a pro and he works at it every day.”

After his impressive Super Bowl performance (or maybe even before), the Eagles were set on re-signing Baun, per Eagles VP Howie Roseman

“He was a targeted player,” Roseman said.

Zack himself declared this to be the best season he’s ever had, as the Philadelphia organization as a whole brought out the best in Baun.

“I’ve loved this season and enjoyed the year more than anything on and off the field,” Baun told media during the week of the Super Bowl. “I’m here to do whatever I can to help the team win football games. I love the coaching staff, the guys in the locker room, the organization, the fans. Everything has been just right for me… It’s been amazing.”

In Baun’s first season with the Eagles, he record 93 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 5 forced fumbles, and an interception; all of which landed Baun his first Pro-Bowl selection.

Baun will be another key resign to this championship roster as they make the run for a repeat.
