Police Break Up Kensington Crowd Gathering for Rapper Skrilla Music Video

Police were tasked with breaking up a huge gathering of people looking to meet local rap artist Skrilla in the Kensington section of Philadelphia.

The meetup was posted ahead of time on social media, as Skrilla told his followers to meet him on Kensington and Allegheny (K+A) streets at 6 p.m. (Tuesday). The now deleted post had more than 23,000 views.
Police responded just before 7:30 p.m. to hundreds of people in the streets blocking traffic, and crowding the corner.
Officials said Skrilla was there to shoot a music video, however, police said they did not have a permit to record the shoot.
Skrilla also met up with popular streamer N3ON to live stream a vlog from Skrilla’s K+A section which he refers to as ‘zombieland’.
The live stream lasted over four hours and included N3ON vlog his entire experience with Skrilla. It included N3ON’s drive and arrival in Philly, meeting up with Skrilla, the two taking a stroll through the Kensington neighborhood, a quick stop at a convenience store, and ending the stream at a local lounge.

No injuries were reported in the Kensington crowd gathering by police.
