Kyzir Reeves, better known as “HopOutBlick,” released a music video filmed from his cell inside Philadelphia’s Curran-Fromhold Correctional Facility.

In the video, Reeves is seen dressed in an orange jumpsuit, with a cellmate whose identity is masked behind a sweatshirt used as a face covering.
“I went to sleep and woke up, the city said I died… they put a warrant out for murders I’m still in the hood” Reeves rapped at the camera, with his background consisting of his unpleasant reality; a jail cell with dirty cement walls, the metal toilet, and a bucket filled with yellow liquid.
Reeves’ cell was searched Tuesday morning and officials found a cell phone, according to a spokesperson with the city’s Department of Prisons. It was unclear if Reeves used the phone to record the footage; however, law enforcement sources said they believe he also had access to a video camera.
Contraband has long been a problem inside Philadelphia’s jails. According to prison records, there has been a substantial staffing shortage, leading to correctional officers to cover more ground, conducting fewer cell searches. Experts say the decline in contraband searches can embolden inmates like Reeves to encourage smuggling into the facility.
Reeves has been in custody since September 2023, when he was arrested and charged with two counts of murder, attempted murder, robbery, illegal gun possession, and related crimes after prosecutors claimed he took part in a gun swap gone wrong that left three teens dead in April 2023.
